In the last few months, we had not one but two actual lanscape covering finger numbing snow storms. In case you were still in doubt, I loooooooove snow ♥ So imagine my thrill at having a snow storm delivered right at my doorstep!
We don’t get a lot of snow in the Netherlands. Mostly when the winter brings us some snow, it’ll melt right away when hitting the ground. So when it starts snowing and you realising that the world around you is actually turning white, there’s only 2 things you can do: cancel all your plans and stay inside with a hot cup of cocoa, or cancel all your plans, put on your boots and head right out, to enjoy it while it lasts.
You guessed it, I pulled on my boots, grabbed the camera and headed out right in the thick of it.
The amount of snow covering the branches was mind blowing. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a thick layer of snow at home. I almost felt as if I was on a skiing trip.
Just look at that. That’s your view from the skiing piste!
Bonus points if you spotted the bird!
The blanket of snow made me feel like I was hiking in an isolated forest, instead of the little community park.
It’s snowing so hard that you can see the flecks of snow dancing around the branch here.
Snow in December is an excellent excuse to put on your your Christmas hat, instead of the regular scarve and hat. Even if it’s not Christmas.
Did you enjoy winter this year as much as I did?
